After weeks of anticipation the wait was finally over, my friends Alina, Q, Nathan I piled into the car Tuesday right after school and began our drive to Hollywood. We were going to get the chance to see one of our favorite singers Barns Courtney live in concert.

Barns Courtney is an English singer, songwriter, and musician. He is not SUPER famous but I have loved his music for a long time now. He was opening for The Kooks!

As we drove to LA we all sang along to his songs getting ready for the concert. We arrived the line was already half way down the block! It took about 30 minutes to get in but when we did I was overflowing for excitement and happiness. We went straight to the floor area in front of the stage and got so close to the front, there was only two people in front me! The first bad came on whom I had never heard of before but they had some amazing music, there performance was amazing and at the end the drummer threw his drumstick and I got it!

It look them a while to set up the stage for Barns but the moment he ran out I was screaming my lungs out, this was the moment I had been waiting for, and little did I know it was about to get a whole lot better than I could have ever anticipated. His stage presence was outstanding and his songs were of course amazing, I sang along to the songs until something happened, He got down low and out hits hands out to the audience, everyone including me immeditaity shot forward to grab his hands and I was one of the first ones to do so as well as my friend Alina and than had the audience carry him around on his back, I was right under him helping my friend and I screaming in joy. Once he was back on stage he sang another song but then came into the audience and was right in front of me singing, I was so happy because I never expected to get this close to my favorite singer to the point where he was eye level right in front of me. He had trouble getting back on stage because the audience wouldn’t let him go but one he got up he sang his last songs than exited the stage. My friend Alina and I stood there in shock while Nathan and Q laughed at us.

After another 10 minutes of waiting the Kooks came onto the stage and I was sandwiched even further between people. The Kooks Jammed out on stage as the audience went wild, for an hour they played and even came back on when the audience yelled for more at the end. I was already exhausted for the amount of energy I had used during when Barns Courtney was on stage and it felt like an oven. I sang along to the songs and got to hold his hand when he reached out to the audience before he said goodbye.

After the concert we were all completely exhausted, my friend Alina and I could barely move. We made our way back to the car and watched all the beautiful lights of Hollywood pass us before we both knocked out.
