Disneyland – The castle is What?!

This weekend I was to return to Disneyland! I Have an annual pass so I tend to go a lot. This weekend I was taking my friend on a trip as her birthday present! Friday evening we went to the train station at 4:40 (we barely made it) to board the train. It was a relatively peaceful ride, for 5 hours… but upon arrival I was very excited to see my aunt and her pit bull Miller, he’s a super friendly fella. When we were getting ready for bed he decided he was going to take up the entire bed so the night was spent uncomfortably.

The next morning my friend I got up around 8am to get ready. I had brought about 7 pairs of mini mouse ears to pick from… We sang and dance to Disney songs the entire morning until we left. Filled with joy were very excited for the day that awaited us!

We walked through Downtown Disney admiring the art all around us, and than decided to start in California Adventure Park. We immediately hit got fast passes for the Incredicoaster (replaced California screaming) and walked around to meet some characters while we waited. We met Jessie and Edna first getting photos with them on Pixar pier. We also passed a funky sign with the seals from finding dory.

We went on the incredicoster and it was magnificent! Definitely one of my favorite rides at the park. It was full of life size and bigger status of the Incredibles characters with amazing visuals and sound effects. After that we got fast passes for the Guardians of the Galaxy: The Great Escape. While waiting we got some lunch and took some pictures. I myself am a huge Marvel fan and was very excited when I saw Spider-Man, one of my favorite characters. When we went up to him he definitely looked like the real deal, he talked about Mr. Stark and all this funny stuff like Captain America needing hearing aids because he was old.

After the picture we went to the Great Escape. The ride was falling up and down at full speed so much I lost my sense of direction and didn’t know if we were going up or down anymore! We laughed and enjoyed the ride but when it over decided it was time to head to Disneyland.

We walked very excited and wanted to take pictures in front of the castle… but upon arrival I was horrified. The castle was CLOSED! Not only blocked off but completely covered up from top to bottom, I was devastated. The castle is the main attraction of Disneyland and it was closed. I was very sad but we continued along having fun on rides such as India Jones and the Teacups!

I took my friend to a small dinner as we watched the nightly firework show at 9:30, the sky filling with such vibrant colors. We went on one last ride, finding Nemo, before heading on the tram back out of Disneyland around 11:30pm. We were so tired but very happy with the amazing day we got to have.

Once we headed home we got a wonderful greeting from the young dog miller as he once again took up the entire bed. The next day we almost missed our train but made it with seconds to spare.

Heading back the train we looked back on the fun day we had and smiled.
