I once again made the trek to the beautiful location of Knapps Castle. My friends Hannah, Alex, Lauren, Dylan and I had to race the sun before it was gone. The sky was absolutely stunning for it looked as though it made of pure gold. Each of us glowing a golden brown as the light touched our skin. Dylan and I immediately began to take photos during this fleeting moment.
The entire mountain side looked as though it was glowing gold, the grasses and burnt down building looking as though King Mitus himself touched the lands, I had never seen anything quite so jaw dropping.

We all admired the sun as it set looking upon a valley of gold. We ran around taking photos admiring nature’s piece of art it had painted us on this extraordinary evening. It was quite cold but that didn’t stop us from soaking in every moment we had, truly living in the moment and appreciating the world around us. We went up and down the structure, down to the swings laughing, running around like excited little kids. We really all got a moment to let go of the stress of life and enjoy the small moments of the present.

There was so many pictures we wanted to take in so little time because the sun wouldn’t stay up forever and sure wouldn’t keep the golden glow for long. It was an amazing evening getting to watch one another do our thing wether that was taking the photos are being the model, we were all in our own element with our full concentration on the task at hand. This was a rare moment were the stress was gone and were able to just enjoy and be.

I took some of my favorite photos on this trip, photos of my friends in action and having fun. I think this trip was a reminder to let go sometimes and just enjoy the moment instead of living for the future. The world is full of beautiful moments we often miss because we are to busy being wrapped up in what’s coming rather then what’s here, and we forget to embrace the smaller moments that life has to share. You don’t need to travel hours just to be somewhere full of the beauty and life you seek when looking for a break, sometimes all it takes is a short car ride and a small hike to reach the perfect destination
